Intro to Stand Up with Jessica It's All Good

    NEW! Weekend Intensive

You've always wanted to try stand up, but didn't know where to start.  Bring your material, or your empty notebook for this weekend deep dive, brought to you by the author of The Cure for Stage Fright A Memoir: My Journey to the Stage & the Lessons Along the Way, Jessica It's All Good. Class includes 12 hours of learning, writing & workshopping, a meet & greet, and closes with a student showcase to present your 2-5 minute set at SpaceCraft on Sunday August 3rd.

    About the instructor:
Jessica It's All Good is a clean comedian from the South with a loud personality, no shame, and not a whole lot of inhibitions. She has rocked out places like Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club, The Comedy Zone, Laughing Skull Lounge, Uptown Comedy Club, MadLife Stage & Studios and The Punchline, just to name a few. She has performed for colleges and universities including, Truman State University, Spartanburg Methodist College, State University of New York College at Geneseo, Emory University, and many more. Some of her past corporate clients include Comcast, CapitalOne and Insperity. In 2014 she won her first comedy competition and received the 1st place prize of The Rev’d Up Comedy Jam Contest. She went on to perform in other competitions and was a semi-finalist in the 2014 Atlanta’s Top Comic Comedy Contest. In 2015 she took her comedy special: “Memoirs of a Supermodel Princess Clown to The Complex Theatre in Hollywood, CA. “Memoirs” is a show based on her time as a struggling artist and the odd jobs she had including being a clown, princess, drama teacher and model. One of her highest claims to modeling fame was winning the title of Taliah Waajid’s 2012-2013 World’s Top Natural Hair Model. In 2020, with the support of several donors, Jessica produced a race related, pandemic comedy special: “WE’RE ALL CHOCOLATE.” In 2021 it was nominated for “Mind-Blowing Comedy” For Comedic Writing Of The Year in the Writing/Adaptations category of The Young-Howze Theatre Awards. In 2022 Jessica received The Bash’s Best of 2021 Award from The Bash, a popular site for booking live entertainment. In 2024 she received the Best Vendor Impact Gold Award for her emcee and DJ work with the City of Duluth, GA. Jessica is also a stand-up comedian with the Best Medicine Brigade, a comedy group for comedians who are military, veterans, and/or military spouses. She is also an improv actress with the nationally touring improv troupe, Fish Sticks Comedy. Whether she is traveling, performing locally, or online, Jessica keeps the energy high and the laughs flowing. Her work will go down in history as comedy for positivity and change. Keep your eyes open for America’s favorite clean comedian with the fro and the bow!

    Level 3 - Intermediate

    AUGUST 2025 - 4 Week Class

Level 3 is like making limitless casseroles with your improv skills ingredients.  If improv class was like getting certified in SCUBA, intermediate is your guided open dive.  Get familiar with the confidence that comes from trusting your instincts in the unfamiliar.  Concepts like editing scenes, exploring situations, heightening ideas, and using specificity and subtext are helpful for performers and non-performers alike.

This intermediate improv class further develops your talents with practice of scene work.  Put your skills to the test with active listening, collaborating, creating, and world building.  Improv scenes are not just for performers, if you are looking to grow creatively, working on personal or professional development, or just like to have fun and try new things, you will be tickled by what you can do!
